Dr. SR DIET Conducts Capacity Building Training-cum-Workshop

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 18: Dr. S.R. District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) successfully organized three-days Capacity Building Training-cum-Workshop from 18th to 20th September, 2025 at the auditorium of Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE), Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram.

The programme was graced by the Director of Education, Shri Vikram Singh, who delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the importance of professional development initiatives for teachers and educators in today’s dynamic learning environment. He emphasized motivation among teachers engaged in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and expressed concern for underprivileged children who lack learning environment at home. He assured support to strengthen Balvatikas for the benefit of such children.

Dr. Manjulata Rao, Principal, TGCE, who was also present in the inaugural session, emphasized that the training programme would greatly benefit Primary School Teachers (PSTs), Pre-Primary Teachers (PT-PSTs), and PPTs engaged in teaching primary classes. Smt. Sangeeta Chand, Principal, SIE/DIET reaffirmed DIET’s commitment to strengthen teaching-learning processes through innovative approaches and motivated participants to actively engage, ask questions, and take maximum benefit from the three-day sessions.

The workshop witnessed deliberations from eminent resource persons, Professor Reetu Chandra, (NCERT, New Delhi), Dr. Sharda Kumari, Ms. Surabhi Chawla, Ms. Sonalika Mishra, and Dr. Monu Lal Sharma (New Delhi). They shared their expertise through interactive sessions, focusing on enhancing pedagogical skills, effective classroom practices, and modern methodologies in school education. Prof. Reetu Chandra also provided an insightful introduction to the importance of ECCE training.
