Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 18: The Chief Electoral Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri L. Kumar, IAS convened a meeting today in his chamber at Shiksha Sadan, A&N Administration, Sri Vijaya Puram with representatives of recognized Political Parties to discuss pre-revision activities in view of upcoming revision.
The CEO through Power Point Presentation briefed the participants on key aspects including, the qualifying date of last Special Intensive Revision which was in 2002, current elector’s data, details of Polling Stations, Enumeration Form, the list of indicative eleven documents to be submitted along with Enumeration Form by the electors.
He also informed the participants by live demo that the part-wise Electoral Roll of 2002 has been uploaded in CEO’s office website: https://www.ceoandaman.nic.in/election/E-ROLL-2002/default.htm along with search facility that allows electors to identify their Part Number, Serial Number in the Roll: https://ceo.andamannicobar.gov.in/sir2002/.
Furthermore, CEO requested to all the recognized political parties to ensure appointment of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) for each Polling Station of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency. These BLAs who will assist the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during revision process.
The CEO emphasized that the cooperation and support of political parties are crucial and essential for the smooth conduct of upcoming revision process.
