DHS Conducts Workshop-cum-Training on Prevention and Control of Snake Bite

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 18: A one-day workshop-cum-training programme on prevention and control of snake bite envenoming organised by Directorate of Health Services in association with National Health Mission today at School of Nursing, Sri Vijaya Puram. Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gosh, BHMS, District Public Health Officer focused on key aspects such as early identification of snake bites, first aid measures and community awareness strategies and provide valuable insights into evidence-based management and best practices for snake bite envenoming. A total of 43 participants were benefited from this interactive training.

Earlier, Smt. Banani Mridha, Bio-Medical Engineer welcomed the gathering. The programme concluded with a discussion on challenges faced by healthcare professionals in handling snake bite cases.
