Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 8: The District Administration, South Andaman today organized a camp at Mithakhari Community Hall for verification of credentials of beneficiaries under various schemes including PMAY, AAY, PHH, and Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Mithakhari Panchayat. The exercise was conducted as part of the preparation of the beneficiary list for the 30 MW Solar Rooftop project in RESCO Mode (ULA Model) under PMSG-MBY.
Smti Priyanka Kumari, Additional District Magistrate, South Andaman delivered a comprehensive address on the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, highlighting its benefits, procedures for availing the scheme and the overall implementation process. A detailed briefing on the project was also given by the representative of the Electricity Department.
In this connection, a total of 44 beneficiaries under the scheme had already been identified whose credentials were duly verified by the Departments of Rural Development, Civil Supplies, and Health services for further processing.
The camp was attended by the Pradhan, Mithakhari Gram Panchayat, the Block Development Officer, Tehsildar, Ferrargunj, representatives from the Rural Development, Health and Civil Supplies Departments, other Revenue officials, beneficiaries, and a large gathering of villagers.
The District Administration has urged all eligible beneficiaries to attend the Camp to be held at Ograbraj Community Hall tomorrow (Oct. 9) along with relevant documents proving their eligibility under any of the above schemes.
