Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 9: On 08/10/2025, acting on specific intelligence inputs, the Excise Team under the supervision of Shri. Ankesh Yadav, DANIPS, SDPO Diglipur with the dedicated efforts of team members PCs K. Ismail, Soma Dey, Sushen Das and Subrata Biswas conducted a well-coordinated raid at Horry Bay, Mohanpur, North & Middle Andaman. The team’s swift action and tactical precision led to the interception of a major consignment of illicit liquor.
During the operation, a total of 59 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) were recovered including 07 bottles of 750 ml and 52 bottles of 180 ml effectively dismantling a segment of the illegal bootlegging network operating in the area. This operation underscores the continuous efforts of the North & Middle Andaman District Police in curbing the menace of illicit trade and safeguarding the community from its adverse social impact.
This successful action stands as a testament to the team’s tireless efforts, meticulous planning, and unwavering commitment to eradicating illegal liquor trade within the district.
