
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 9: Demonstrating exemplary professionalism and swift action by the staff of Police Station Aberdeen led to solve a theft case within 24 hours, recovery of all stolen gold ornaments and apprehension of accused.
On receipt of a complaint regarding theft of gold ornaments worth approximately ₹11,00,000/- from a residence at Doctor’s Colony, Nayagaon. A case under relevant section was registered and swiftly a team was formed, which comprising SI Mariam (IO), Head Constable Sunil Singh Yadav and Police Constables K. Jairaj, Surender Singh Yadav, P. Mohd. Rafique and K. Jagdish Babu to trace out accused and stolen gold ornaments.
The team have work relentlessly and through their meticulous investigation and professionalism lead to successful apprehension of accused namely Irshad Azad, S/o Shri Abdul Azad (31 years) Auto Driver R/o Shadipur and recovery of all stolen gold ornaments. Subsequently, accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court, where he was remanded to judicial custody.
The case was investigated under the command of Insp. Vishal Ram, SHO PS Aberdeen with the guidance of Shri Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO South Andaman and overall supervision of Shri Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
