Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 19: A one- day workshop-cum-training programme on prevention and control of snake bite envenoming organised by Directorate of Health Services in association with National Health Mission on Oct. 15 at PHC Wimberlygunj. Dr. Subrata Saha, State Nodal Officer, Prevention & Control of Snake bite Envenoming highlighted the critical role of healthcare workers in reducing mortality and morbidity caused by snake bites. A discussion on challenges faced by healthcare professionals in handling snake bite cases was also held.
