
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 19: The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, in association with the Labour Department, A&N Administration, and the Regional Employees’ Provident Fund Office (EPFO), Sri Vijaya Puram, organized a sensitization programme on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) at Swaraj Dweep to promote awareness among employers. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local entrepreneurs, business owners, and representatives from various establishments operating in Swaraj Dweep.
Shri Shivakant Kumar, Deputy Secretary (Labour), Ministry of Labour & Employment, addressed the gathering and interacted with participants, clarifying their queries and emphasizing the importance of employer engagement in achieving the objectives of the PM-VBRY. He explained that this flagship Rs.1 lakh crore initiative aims to generate over 3.5 crore jobs nationwide between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027, supporting the Government’s vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
