
Mayabunder, October 27: In a significant step toward fostering business growth and regional cooperation, the North and Middle Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NMACCI) has been officially constituted and registered under Registration No. 72/DC(N&MA)/2025 on 23rd October 2025.
The newly formed Chamber aims to provide a unified platform for entrepreneurs, traders, and professionals of the North and Middle Andaman region to collaborate, address challenges, and explore new opportunities in trade, tourism, and industry.
According to the registration details, the office bearers of the Chamber from 2025 to 2028 are as follows:
President – Mr. A. F. J. Rajan
Vice President – Mr. Binod Hawlader
General Secretary – Mr. Naresh Halder
Secretary – Mr. Bibas Biswas
Treasurer – Mr. S. Shanmugam
Speaking to Andaman Chronicle, Mr. A. F. J. Rajan, President of NMACCI, stated that the Chamber will serve as a bridge between the local business community and government bodies.
Our goal is to promote economic and social development by supporting local enterprises, encouraging investment, and enhancing the overall business environment of the region,” he said.
Other members highlighted that the Chamber will work to strengthen the economic fabric of the islands through policy advocacy, trade facilitation, and community engagement.
The establishment of the North and Middle Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry marks a progressive milestone for the region, paving the way for sustainable economic growth and improved coordination among businesses, industries, and government agencies.
