Unauthorized RCC Structure on Govt. Land at Nayashahar Demolished

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 31: The District Administration, South Andaman in its steadfast commitment to reclaim and protect public assets, has escalated its strategically coordinated encroachment eviction drive. This concerted effort is focused on restoring Government land to its rightful use, underscoring the Administration’s unwavering dedication to uphold the law of land and preserving the sanctity of public spaces.

In the most recent phase of the eviction drive, an unauthorized residential RCC structure under construction on Government revenue land at Nayashahar Village was successfully demolished. Heavy machinery including a Hitachi excavator was deployed to carry out the demolition and site clearance. As a result, an area measuring approximately 50 square meters of Government revenue land has been reclaimed and restored to the Government Khata by the Revenue field Staff.

The District Administration, South Andaman once again reiterates its zero-tolerance policy against encroachment of Government land. Citizens are urged to refrain from occupying public land illegally and are encouraged to cooperate with the authorities in maintaining the integrity of public assets.
