Kamorta, Nov. 4: The Block Level Inclusive Sports Meet for CwSN students under Inclusive Education was organised at Govt. Middle School, Kamorta on Oct. 31, 2025 and Nov. 1, 2025. The event was aimed to promote inclusivity and sportsmanship among Children with Special Needs and their peers. The two-day event was divided into two segments: Elementary Level (Pre-Primary to 8th Standard) and Secondary Level (Class IX to XII). Both segments saw enthusiastic participation from CwSN and normal students. The Elementary Level Sports Meet began with a formal inauguration ceremony graced by Chief Guest Ms. Molly Lily, Principal, GSSS Champin along with Mr. Om Prakash, Block Project Officer, Nancowrie and Mr. Moses, PGT, GSSS Bengali, Teressa.
The event featured a march past by CwSN followed by various sports event Viz. Running Race, Ball Throw, Lemon and Spoon Race, Frog Race and Hit the Target. A total of 25 students participated in the event. The secondary level event commenced with a welcome song by CwSN student, followed by sports events such as yoga demonstration, chess, ball throw, lemon and spoon race, passing the ball and musical chair.
The children also showcased their talents through cultural events, including speech, dance and song performances. Fifteen students participated in the event. Ms. Molly Lily distributed prizes to the winners. The two-day event aimed to promote inclusiveness, participation and equal opportunities for CwSN by integrating with their peer groups in sports and physical activities. The program was coordinated by Elamaram, S, Special Educator.
