Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 18: APCCF (CRZ & FC), Department of Environment and Forests has applied for conducting Public Hearing under EIA Notification, 2006 for preparation of Draft Integrated Island Management Plan (IIMP) of Strait Island.
News Item in this regard was published in the Daily Telegram on 03-11-2024 for inviting suggestion from public and other stakeholder within a period of 30 days of the publication and also soft copies of the Maps have been made available in the A&N Administration (https://andamannicobar.gov.in/) and the Department of Environment & Forest, A&N Administration (http://forest.and.nic.in/).Soft copies of draft IIMPs have been made available in various offices, including the Chairman’s Office, ANCZMA (Chief Secretary, A&N Administration), Member Secretary’s Office, ANCZMA [APCCF (CRZ&FC)], Van Sadan, Haddo, Deputy Commissioner (North & Middle Andaman), Assistant Commissioner (Rangat), Divisional Forest Officer (Middle Andaman), Member Secretary (Andaman & Nicobar Pollution Control Committee), Director (Tribal Welfare) and Director (IP&T).
In this regard, Public Hearing for preparation of Draft Integrated Island Management Plan (IIMP) of Strait Island is scheduled to be held on Dec. 15 at 11 AM at the Gram Panchayat Community Hall, Nilambur, Baratang, N & M Andaman.
