Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 18: IGNOU Regional Centre- Port Blair organized an induction meeting for Certificate in Community Health (CCH) on 14th November from 02:30 PM to 04:00 PM. The induction meeting was attended by programme coordinators (Dr.) Ruchika Kuba Dr. Reeta Devi from School of Health Science, IGNOU, HQ, New Delhi, Regional Director Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Jacob, Dr. Ajay Raj, HoD, Community Medicine, ANIMS. The Certificate Programme in Community Health (CCH) is a six months programme of 18 credits (8 credits in theory and 10 credits in practical). The candidates for this programme are selected by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and programme is open only to sponsored candidates from National Health Mission (NHM) MoHFW Govt. of India through State Health Mission/State Government. The programme is immensely useful to upskill in-services registered nurses (RNRM) and Ayurveda Practitioners to enable them to serve as competent human resource essential for strengthening the primary health care services at peripheral level.
