District Administration South Andaman Activates Dedicated Helpline Services for the Public

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 19: In compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India Order dated 07.11.2025 in Suo Moto W.P. (C) No. 5 of 2025 IN RE: “City Hounded by Strays, Kids Pay Price”, the District Administration, South Andaman has initiated a strengthened and coordinated mechanism to address issues relating to the movement and management of stray animals across public spaces. This initiative aims to ensure public safety, safeguard vulnerable groups and streamline timely response measures by establishing dedicated reporting channels for citizens to register incidents involving stray animals or cattle within the district. The District Administration, South Andaman, has activated dedicated helpline services for the public to report any incidents involving stray animals or cattle in public areas.

Residents have been advised to promptly report any sighting, nuisance or incident involving stray animals to the District Control Room which has been equipped to respond swiftly and coordinate with the concerned Departments for necessary action. Reports may be made through any of the following dedicated helpline numbers:
