Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 20: A one- day capacity building workshop on “She is a change Maker” will be organized by the Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs, A&N Administration on 21/11/2025, at DBRAIT Conference Hall with the collaboration of National Commission for Women (NCW) New Delhi. Smti. Vijaya Rahatkar, Hon’ble Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW), will be the chief guest for this event. The workshop aims to strengthen awareness on legal protections for women, promote responsive governance, and enhance coordination among key stakeholders including government departments, police officials, civil society organisations, and Panchayati Raj Institutions.
During the programme, the Chairperson will address issues related to women’s welfare, highlight national initiatives undertaken by the National Commission for Women, and discuss actionable strategies to improve support systems for women in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. All concerned Departments and stakeholders are encouraged to participate actively and contribute to the success of this important workshop.
