
Bhopal, Nov. 21: With the aim of cultivating scientific thinking among school children and encouraging exploration, the Government is organizing “Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani” across the country under the ‘Samagra Shiksha’ initiative. In the island territories too, exhibitions were first conducted at the block level across 9 educational zones, followed by the district level. The selected students from these stages got the opportunity to participate in the State-level Science Exhibition held at Shri Vijaya Puram’s Girls’ Senior Secondary School.
Out of the total 107 models showcased at the State-level Science Exhibition, the models of Nayan Das and Sagar Kumar Roy from PM SHRI Sitanagar, Shreya Jasmine from PM SHRI Campbell Bay, and Sadanand Mandal from Middle School, Brichgunj were selected for the National-level Exhibition.
The 52nd “Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani” began on 18 November in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, and was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Guide teachers L. Ilayairaja and K. Sheeja, who accompanied the students, informed that about 247 models from across the country have been displayed.
In this National Exhibition, organized by NCERT, the students’ models from the Islands are drawing the attention of the visitors. The model from PM SHRI Sitanagar showcases a live demonstration of agricultural innovations, while Sadanand from Brichgunj has created a Driver Sleep Alert System. Meanwhile, scientists from ISRO and prestigious institutions showed significant interest in Shreya’s Pyramid model from Campbell Bay, too.
The “Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani” will conclude on 23 November.
