Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 23: The Skating Team for U-14 & U-17 (Boys & Girls) and the Chess Team for U-14 (boys & girls) from these Islands are going to participate in the 69th SGFI National school championship, scheduled to be held at Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh during the months of December 2025 and January 2026 respectively.
The selection trial for the finalization of the Island School Skating team (U-14 & U-17, boys & girls) for participating in the above-mentioned championship will be conducted on 29.11.2025 at KV-I from 06:00am onwards. The selection trial for Chess U-14[boys & girls] will be held on 12.12.225 at 9 am at Teachers Home.
Under -14: – Players should be born on or after 01.01.2012 [Class VI-XII]
Under -17: – Players should be born on or after 01.01.2009 [Class VI-XII]
Zonal Officers have been informed to send the best chess and skating players along with an escort teacher to report to the Assistant Director (Physical Education/Sports) at the above-mentioned venues on 29.11.2025 [Skating] and 12.12.2025 [Chess], along with the following documents in triplicate viz. Attested copy of birth certificate, Copy of previous year’s mark sheet, Photo-attested bonafide certificate (including pen number) and Copy of Aadhaar Card.
