Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 24: In a meeting held on 23rd November, 2025, the Andaman & Nicobar Taxi Union finalized its new leadership. The meeting was attended by union representatives including City Congress President Shri. Mohd Zubair & Youth Congress Vice-President Mr. M. A Sajid, focused on strengthening the organization and addressing the concerns of taxi operators.
Following discussions & consent among the Members, Shri. Rangalal Halder was unanimously elected as President and Shri. Mohammed Rafi as General Secretary of the Taxi Union.
The new leadership assured members of their commitment to improve coordination, protect the rights of taxi operators, and promote the overall development of the taxi sector in the Islands. Union members expressed full support for the new office-bearers and their plans for collective progress.
