Divya Kala Mela & Shakti 2025 Showcases Talent, Inclusion, and Accessibility in Diglipur

Diglipur, Nov. 24: The Block Project Office, Diglipur, under Samagra Shiksha – Inclusive Education, organized the first-ever Divya Kala Mela and Divya Kala Shakti 2025 in the Diglipur Educational Zone under the guidance of Smti. Sulochana, Block Project Officer at Vivekanand Stadium’s Multipurpose Hall, yesterday.

The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer, Diglipur, who lit the ceremonial lamp. CwSN student Ms. Nasima Khatoon delivered a warm welcome address. The programme was also attended by Mr. Manoranjan Mondal, CRC Coordinator, GSSS Kalighat, who appreciated the commendable efforts and teamwork of the Inclusive Education staff.

A key highlight of the event was the significant contribution of Ms. Nagwanti Kumari, a Special Educator deputed from the Block Project Office, Rangat, who facilitated communication as a Sign Language Interpreter and Trainer for students with Hearing Impairments. To support students with Visual Impairment, Braille-based art and craft labels, food stall boards, and models were prepared, ensuring full accessibility and inclusion.

Around 250 participants, including parents, teachers, students, and community members, witnessed the vibrant cultural performances featuring dance, music, poetry recitation, storytelling, speeches, group dance, and yoga demonstrations.

The mela also showcased LTM materials, LTM library exhibits, CRC-wise art and craft displays, and food stalls arranged by five CRCs, all complemented by Braille-enabled models.

Certificates were presented to all participating students, while trophies were awarded to CRCs with outstanding Art & Craft Showcases and Food Stalls.

The programme concluded with an energetic open dance performance, followed by a Vote of Thanks by Smti. Sulochana, BPO Diglipur, and a moving Silent National Anthem performed by a CwSN student.

The event was coordinated by Ms. N. Riya Nandan (PSRT), Ms. Jharna Malo (PGT), and the Inclusive Education Team of Diglipur.
