Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 28: The 8th National Boxing Championship 2025 organised by the Boxing Development Federation of India was held from 21st to 24th Nov. 2025 at SM Boxing Club, Alipur, Delhi. The Championship was for the categories U-12 Sub Junior, Youth and Senior Men & Women.
Participating in the Championship, the Islands’ Boxing Team made their presence felt by securing nine medals in different categories. Bikram Pariyar (Coach) from Mayabunder won the India Champion Title Fight and also the best coach award.
The medal winners are as follows:
Under-12:
1) Addvik Yadav from Naval Children School won Silver
2) G. Gatik from Carmel Sr. Sec. School won Silver Medal
3) G Savi from Carmel Sr. Sec. School won Silver Medal
4) Tanav Halder from VKV, Lambaline won a Gold
Youth Women
1) Naw Sherly Shephra won a Gold medal
Senior Men
1) A. Srijesh of JNRM College won a Gold Medal
2) Ashwin Nath from Dollygunj won a Silver
3) Kalyan Chhetri, Inspector CISF, Port Blair won a Silver at Pro Level.
