Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 3: In a major crackdown against drug peddling, the Police Station Pahargaon successfully apprehended four individuals involved in illegal trade of narcotic drugs on 23/11/2025 and seized 28 grams of methamphetamine along with Rs 27000/-.
On 23/11/2025, upon credible information regarding trade of methamphetamine by four individuals near the Ship Building Yard, Jodakalan, a raiding team comprising Insp. Mohd. Elias, SHO PS Pahargaon along with SI Manish Narayan, SI A. Santhosh, PCs Samsudeen, Shiv Kumar, Santosh Lal and Nuka Raju was immediately formed.
The raid team swiftly rushed to the spot and strategically positioned themselves at the location and intercepted two vehicles carrying four individuals suspected to be engaged in methamphetamine trade. The team recovered 28 grams of methamphetamine from the possession of accused persons namely Prosenjit Pramanik R/o Prothrapur, Mohd. Zafar R/o Phoenix Bay, Rahul Rao R/o Prothrapur and Imran Ansari R/o Garacharma along with Rs. 27,000/-. Accused persons were arrested on the spot for offences punishable under NDPS Act, 1985 and the two vehicles used in the commission of the offence were also seized.
