
Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 5: A five-day capacity-building workshop dedicated to preparing academic tools and competency-based sample question papers for the Foundational Learning Study (FLS) 2026 began today at the State Institute of Education (SIE).
Organised as part of the preparatory roadmap for FLS 2026, the workshop aims to design high-quality, foundational-level assessment instruments in Literacy and Numeracy. These tools will play a vital role in ensuring robust measurement of learning outcomes and strengthening the overall quality of the forthcoming national study.
During her interaction with the participating tool-setters earlier in the day, the Principal, SIE, commended their commitment and emphasised the importance of accuracy, clarity, and academic rigor in developing competency-based assessment items.
