Car Nicobar, Dec. 16: In an effort to promote sports and encourage the active participation of youth, the Department of Sports and Youths Affairs, A&N Administration, in coordination with Education Department, Car Nicobar as per the direction of Chief Secretary, A&N Administration will host the highly anticipated Beach Games 2025 at Car Nicobar District.
The event will be held from Dec. 19 to 21, at Jayanthi Beach, Lapathy Car Nicobar and will feature several exciting competitions for both men and women in an open category.
The Beach Games are designed to provide an opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills in various beach sports disciplines. The sports discipline to be featured in the event are Volleyball, Kabaddi, Tug of War, 50m Sprint, 100m Sprint, Football (7-a-side), Beach Sepak Takraw and Beach Mallakhamb.
A significant aspect of the event is its focus on youth participation, as it aims to encourage a culture of excellence in sports and contribute to the development of athletic skills among young individuals in the region.
