
Diglipur, Dec. 19: In continuation of the ongoing Anti-Poaching “Operation Coral Shield”, on 19.12.2025, a dedicated police team conducted sustained tracking and intensive combing operations in the dense jungle areas. During the combing operation the PS Diglipur team successfully apprehended one more poacher from Coffee Dera under the jurisdiction of Police Station Diglipur.
The operation involved meticulous ground search and continuous surveillance of vulnerable forest patches, with the objective of tracking and apprehending all remaining offenders. The combing operation is being carried out relentlessly and remains underway to nab the absconding poachers in the area.
The North & Middle Andaman District Police reiterate their firm commitment to safeguarding marine and forest biodiversity, preventing illegal trespassing, and ensuring robust territorial and environmental security across the ecologically sensitive regions of the district.
