Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 20: The C.D Block Diglipur conducted a comprehensive ‘block level training programme on building women’s leadership in rural governance’ in the Conference Hall of Gram Panchayat Subashgram today. The training on the theme Gram Sabha participation and decision making, aimed to strengthen the leadership capabilities of Elected Women Representatives (EWRs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and Community Resource Persons (CRPs).
In his address, Shri M. Rajendra Kumar, BDO, CD Block Diglipur, emphasized the vital role women play in the socio-economic fabric of rural communities. Ms. Ranjita Kabiraj, BPM, CD Block Diglipur, gave a detailed briefing on the objectives of the training, highlighting the need for active female voices in local governance.
The technical sessions were led by Smt. C. Vijaya, Domain Expert from the Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs. An interactive discussion and feedback session were also organised.
