Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 28: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) observed Tsunami Diwas on 26th December, 2025 with a Sarva Dharma Prarthana and Shradhanjali Sabha at Gandhi Bhawan, paying solemn tribute to the victims of the devastating tsunami.
The programme was held under the leadership of Shri TSG Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC. Congress leaders and workers gathered to remember the departed souls and express solidarity with the families affected by the tragedy.
On the occasion, Congress leaders lit candles and paid homage to the departed souls, observing a moment of silence as a mark of respect.
The programme was attended by Shri Hamid Ali, Senior Congress Leader, Smt. Zubaida Begum, President Mahila Congress, Shri. Saji Varghese, Chairman Minority Department, Shri. Tejeswara Rao, Chairman Unorganised Workers & Employees Congress, Shri. O. Bashir, Chairman, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan, along with several other senior leaders, party functionaries, and Congress workers.
