Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 30: In view of the forthcoming New Year celebrations and the expected increase in public gatherings, all Bar / Hotel/ Resort owners are advised to strictly adhere to the following precautionary and safety measures in the interest of public order, health, and safety:
1. Strict Adherence to the Bar Licence conditions by all Bar/ Hotels/ Resort Licencees:
• All activities shall be conducted strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions of the license issued by the competent authority.
2. Crowd Control and Security Arrangements
• Adequate arrangements for crowd management, including deployment of trained security personnel, shall be made.
• Entry and exit points, including emergency exits, shall remain unobstructed at all times.
• CCTV surveillance systems shall be kept operational and recordings preserved as required.
3. Responsible Service of Alcohol
• Identity and age verification shall be ensured wherever necessary.
• Service of alcoholic beverages shall be carried out responsibly and strictly as per rules and licence terms.
• Service of alcohol to intoxicated persons and to persons below the legally prescribed age is strictly prohibited.
4. Fire Safety and Emergency Preparedness
• Fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, shall be available, functional, and easily accessible.
• Staff shall be briefed and trained in basic fire safety and emergency evacuation procedures.
• Overcrowding in confined areas such as dance floors, stages, or corridors shall be strictly avoided.
5. Noise Regulation and Public Order
• Noise levels shall be maintained within permissible limits and in accordance with prescribed timings under applicable laws.
• Any activity causing public nuisance or disturbance to neighboring residential areas shall not be permitted.
6. Cleanliness, Hygiene, and Sanitation
• Adequate sanitation and cleanliness shall be maintained in all areas, including restrooms and common spaces.
• Proper arrangements for waste collection and disposal shall be ensured.
7. Coordination with Enforcement Agencies
• Full cooperation shall be extended to Police, Excise, Municipal, Fire, and other Enforcement authorities during inspections.
• Any incident affecting public safety or order shall be reported immediately to the nearest police station or control room.
All concerned Bar/ Hotel/ Resort owners and proprietors are required to act responsibly and ensure that New Year celebrations in safe and orderly manner. Any violation of the rules and regulations shall attract penal action under the relevant provisions of law, including suspension or cancellation of license, apart from other legal consequences. This circular shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain applicable for the duration of the New Year celebration.
