Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 31: It is hereby informed for the general public and all stakeholders that Gram Panchayats or local Panchayat authorities are not authorized to grant permission, approval, or No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for operating water sports activities such as Glass Bottom Boats, Parasailing, or any other allied activities at New Wandoor Beach near the Fish Landing Jetty.
Permission for operation of vessels/boats falls exclusively under the jurisdiction of the Port Management Board and the Office of the Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman), as per the existing rules, guidelines, and safety regulations in force.
All boats owners and concerned stakeholders are advised to approach only the designated competent authorities for obtaining valid permissions and to ensure strict compliance with the prescribed norms, safety standards, and applicable legal provisions.
This clarification is issued in the interest of public awareness, to avoid any confusion, and to ensure proper regulatory compliance.
