Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 9: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Garacharma, Sri Vijaya Puram, under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme conducted a 3-Day Capacity Building Programme on ‘Inclusive Education for General Teachers who have completed the Foundation Course in Education of Children with Disabilities (FCECD)’ for teachers from nine Educational Zones at Girls’ Senior Secondary School.
In the valedictory session, Smti. Sangeeta Chand, Principal, SIE/DIET, as the chief guest appreciated the dedication and commitment of the participating teachers towards enhancing their professional skills for inclusive education.
The Resource Persons from mainland, Prof. Ramaa and Smti. Sree Priya, In-charge Director, NIEPVD, Chennai delivered insightful sessions on inclusive pedagogical practices, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), individualized support strategies, and collaborative approaches for addressing the needs of Children with Disabilities in regular classrooms.
