Rudraiah, Member of the Union recently met the Secretary (Shipping), Andaman & Nicobar Administration and urged her to implement the wage revision of seamen working in the inter-island, foreshore and mainland-island sectors.  The leaders brought to the notice of the Secretary (Shipping) that the wages of the seamen working under the Shipping Department was overdue for the last several years.  They told the Secretary (Shipping) that the seamen are getting the wages fixed more than 12 years ago as the Administration delayed the wage revision.
