Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 23: As part of the 77th Republic Day celebrations, the Andaman & Nicobar Command (ANC) will undertake ceremonial illumination of ships to mark the occasion. The illumination is intended to mark the significance of Republic Day and enhance the visual ambience along the waterfront of Sri Vijaya Puram during the celebrations. Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard ships of ANC, along with DSS ships, anchored off Flag Point, will be illuminated. The illumination will be carried out on Jan. 26 & 29, creating a striking visual spectacle at the waterfront. The ships will remain illuminated from 1745 hrs to 2200 hrs on Jan. 26 & 29, enhancing the festive ambience along the Marina Park waterfront facing Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island.
