Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 4: The A&N Administration has accorded sanction for the installation and commissioning of four high-capacity water pumps to ensure uninterrupted and improved drinking water supply in the SVPMC area. The project involves installation of 4 numbers of 410 HP pumps at the SVP headquarters, with an approved cost of Rs. 2.69 crore. This initiative reflects the Administration’s commitment to strengthening critical water infrastructure and enhancing public service delivery.
With the increased pumping capacity, water will be conveyed more efficiently to the SVPMC command tanks, enabling faster filling and reducing stress on the existing distribution network. The project addresses a long-pending demand raised by Ward Councillors regarding low pressure in the water supply system and will significantly benefit residents of Garacharma and Bazaar areas, ensuring a more reliable and consistent drinking water supply.
