Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 4: GSS Junglighat conducted a Chess Utsav Tournament 2026 yesterday in the School Assembly Ground with active participation from students. The event aimed at promoting logical thinking, concentration, and sportsmanship among learners.
The programme was graced by chief guest, Shri Vikram Singh, Director (Education). Shri Ravi Chandran, Councilor, Ward No. 9 and Shri Mohammed Irshad, Assistant Director, Sports were the Special Guests. The chief guest inaugurated the tournament by making the ceremonial first move, marking the formal start of the competition.
Students participated with high spirit and discipline throughout the matches. At the conclusion of the event, prizes were distributed to the winners and participants to encourage and boost their morale.
