Diglipur, Feb 5: An unidentified, washed-up human skeletal remains was found at Ramnagar Beach on 30/01/2026 at about 0530 hrs, based on telephonic information received at PS Kalighat. A police team immediately rushed to the spot and registered UD FIR No. 02/26 dated 30/01/2026 under Section 194 of BNSS, 2023.
The skeletal remains were shifted to GB Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram, where post-mortem examination was conducted by the Department of Forensic Medicine, ANIIMS. The remains are presently preserved at the Cold Mortuary, GB Pant Hospital.
The deceased was found wearing a red T-shirt and green checked half pant. Identity of the deceased could not be ascertained so far. General public/kith and kin are requested to provide information or claim the body at 03192-273344/03192-278148/03192-232100.
