
Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 12: A hands-on Training Programme on e-Claim Generation under the e-Bill System of the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) was successfully conducted yesterday at the EDP Section, Office of the Chief Pay & Accounts Officer, Sri Vijaya Puram.
Inaugurating the programme, Shri S. Dasgupta, Director of Accounts & Budget underscored the importance of digital transformation in Government financial processes and emphasized that the e-Bill System under PFMS ensures greater transparency, improved efficiency and timely settlement of claims and payments. He stated that adoption of the online e-Claim system would significantly reduce dependence on physical documentation and minimize the need for personal visits to offices by vendors, thereby streamlining workflow and enhancing accountability.
The training programme was organized for Government Departments and Autonomous Bodies that provide services to various Departments of the A&N Administration, including representatives from ANIIDCO, Store Division–APWD, Government Press, Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council and other service-providing agencies.
Detailed hands-on training was imparted covering generation of Claim Reference Number (CRN), submission of e-Claims using Digital Signature Certificates (DSC), generation of e-Bills and online tracking of payment status through PFMS. The initiative forms part of the Government of India’s ongoing efforts towards end-to-end digitalisation of public financial management and strengthening ease of doing business with Government Departments.
