Air India and Local Travel Agents Meet to Discuss Future of Regional Connectivity

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 19: ​A pivotal meeting between Local Travel Stake Holders and Shri Rahul Bose (Associate Manager, Air India, Kolkata) was held today 19th Feb 2026 at Hotel Mansha Regency to discuss the future of regional connectivity.

The highlights of the meeting included joint plans to promote “Monsoon Tourism” during the Off Season (rainy season), Proposal to keep budget fares across season as Flight is the major source of Transport for Islanders and will also promote Tourism, Proposals for additional flights for the upcoming vacation and the restoration of previously withdrawn routes and lastly Formal submission of a proposal for dedicated charter flight operations.

The program, coordinated by Ms. Sunita Sarkar, began with Shri Anoop Kumar, (Director, Nautika Cruises) welcoming Shri Bose with a bouquet. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Shri Hemant Kumar Dhingra, marking a productive step forward for the islands’ travel trade.
