
Mayabunder, Feb. 23: As part of the ongoing initiative “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore”, a public grievance redressal programme was organized under the chairmanship of Shri Sushant Padha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman in the presence of Shri Deepanshu Vohra, Assistant Commissioner, Rangat along with all Heads of Offices and PRI representatives on 19.02.2026 in the Panchayat Hall of Gram Panchayat, Uttara. The programme was aimed at strengthening service delivery and ensuring timely resolution of public grievances at the grassroots level through direct interaction with citizens.
During the Revenue Camp Court, cases of sub-division, name correction and mutation were taken up and disposed of accordingly. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation with around 350 participants including PRI members, Heads of Offices and members of the general public, attending the Revenue Camp Court reflecting strong community engagement in the initiative.
In the evening, the Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman along with the Assistant Commissioner, Rangat and other Heads of Departments visited the remote pockets of Kadamtala village viz. Kataidera and Atterji.
During the visit, the team undertook field inspections and held door-to-door interactions to assess issues related to drinking water supply, road connectivity, health services, education, electricity, civil supplies, and other public amenities. Departmental officers were directed to take immediate and time-bound action on the grievances raised. Wherever feasible on-the-spot solutions were facilitated to provide prompt relief to the public.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the Administration’s commitment to responsive, accessible and transparent governance. Emphasis was laid on coordinated departmental action, proactive service delivery and continuous engagement with the community. The District Administration will continue to expand the ‘Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore’ initiative to cover remaining villages across North & Middle Andaman, ensuring that Government services and grievance redressal mechanisms reach every household.
