Hutbay, Feb. 24: A one-day training programme titled ‘Addressing child needs through bal sabhas and strengthening bal sabha’ was conducted at the Panchayat Samiti Hall today. The initiative aimed to empower child representatives and Panchayat functionaries in promoting child rights and participatory governance at the grassroots level.
The training focused on key areas such as the role and responsibilities of children in Bal Sabhas, education rights for children with special needs, and awareness on child protection laws including the POSCO Act.
Dr. Vishal Mandal, Extension Officer welcomed the participants. The programme concluded with post-session evaluations, feedback collection, and a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Belthazer, Block Development Officer, CD Block, Little Andaman.
