
Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 26: Under the divine guidance of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj, Sant Nirankari Mission organized a cleanliness drive on Sunday, 22nd February 2026 from 8 AM to 11 AM, as part of the nationwide initiative “Project Amrit – Swachh Jal, Swachh Mann.” The drive was conducted at the sea beach near Veer Savarkar Park, Chouldari, Sri Vijaya Puram with the objective of promoting water conservation and environmental protection.
The programme commenced with a brief inaugural ceremony graced by Shri Prakash Adhikari, Adhyaksh, Zila Parishad, South Andaman, as Chief Guest and Smt. Tapasi Saha, Pradhan, Chouldari Gram Panchayat, as Distinguished Guest.
At the outset, Sri Satya Narayan, Sector Incharge, Sector No. 13, Zone 45, SNM, A&N Islands, welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the importance of collective responsibility towards environmental cleanliness and preservation of water bodies. He also shared the inspirational message of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj emphasizing both inner and outer cleanliness.
In his address, Chief Guest Shri Prakash Adhikari appreciated the selfless service initiatives undertaken by the Mission for the welfare of society. He expressed hope that in the future as well, he would continue to work shoulder to shoulder with Sant Nirankari Mission in every endeavor of social service.
Gram Pradhan Smt. Tapasi Saha expressed her gratitude towards the Mission for selecting her village for this noble service initiative and appreciated the efforts made towards environmental cleanliness and community welfare.
The volunteers from all the branches of Nirankari Mission located in Andaman & Nicobar participated in this campaign of cleanliness with dedication, enthusiasm and modesty. Along with this, the members of Chouldari Gram Panchayat also supported with full cooperation in this campaign. The volunteers collected plastic, garbage and waste material more than 150 bags from the area and transported through trucks to its dumping station.
On conclusion of the programme, the PRI members and villagers praised the mission and also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Satguru Mata ji for these welfare projects like water conservation and cleanliness of water bodies to avoid water crises. This is definitely a positive step for the upliftment of the society.
Following the cleanliness drive, a one-hour Satsang programme was organized at the Community Hall, Chouldari where spiritual messages on environmental responsibility were shared.
The event reflected the Mission’s unwavering commitment towards selfless service, environmental awareness, and community participation under Project Amrit.
