
Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar. 1: The Department of AH&VS, in association with UTATMA, successfully conducted a two-day training programme on ‘Integrated Farming System in Animal Husbandry’ at Gandhi Nagar. The programme focused on promoting sustainable and profitable integrated farming models, including scientific integration of livestock with crop cultivation, resource recycling, and dual-purpose farming practices to enhance income and productivity for rural farmers. Participants were given practical knowledge on combining animal husbandry with agriculture for better resource utilisation and year-round income generation.
The training received enthusiastic participation and is expected to encourage more farmers to adopt integrated farming systems for improved livelihoods and nutritional security.
