
Car Nicobar, March 2: In a significant step towards strengthening access to knowledge and fostering a reading culture in remote areas, a Mobile Library was inaugurated at Mus Village near Bishop’s House, Car Nicobar today. The Mobile Library initiative has been successfully implemented by the Directorate of Education, reflecting the Administration’s commitment to inclusive education and community development. For the operation of the Mobile Library, the required bus has been provided by the Transport Department, Car Nicobar ensuring smooth mobility.
Inaugurating the Mobile Library, Shri Amit Kale, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District highlighted the transformative power of books and emphasized that reading plays a crucial role in shaping knowledge, values, and critical thinking, especially among children.
Shri Swapan Paik, Education Officer, Nicobar Zone, elaborated on the objectives of the Mobile Library.
