
Sri Vijaya Puram, March 3: The Institution of Engineers (India), Andaman & Nicobar State Centre, jointly with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), celebrated World Engineering Day 2026 on the theme “Smart Engineering for a Sustainable Future.” The event highlighted the crucial role of innovative engineering solutions in building a sustainable and resilient future.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Corporate Members of IEI as well as students from the Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Engineering departments of DBRAIT.
On this occasion, Mr. Mohan Ramakrishna, SEBI Smart Trainer, delivered an insightful presentation on Securities Market – Level 1. His session focused on the fundamentals of the securities market, investor awareness, financial literacy, and the role of smart financial decisions in strengthening sustainable economic growth. The presentation effectively connected engineering knowledge with financial awareness, emphasizing the importance of informed investment practices in today’s technology-driven world.
The session was highly interactive, with participants actively engaging in discussions and raising queries. The resource person addressed the questions with clarity, making the session both informative and beneficial for students and corporate members alike. The programme concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by the Honorary Secretary Er.
