Sri Vijaya Puram, March 17: A three-day state-level re-orientation training programme on ‘Management of Metabolic Disorders in the Homoeopathic System of Medicine’ was organized by the AYUSH Wing of the Directorate of Health Services in collaboration with ANSAS, NAM for Medical Officers and CHOs (Homoeopathy) under the Health Department from Mar. 12 to 14 at the TGCE Auditorium.
Chairing the inaugural session as the chief guest, Dr. H.M. Siddharaju, Director of Health Services, stated that the programme would provide an invaluable opportunity for Medical Officers to gain deeper insights into Homoeopathic practices in view of the increasing prevalence of metabolic diseases and emphasized the need for continuous training and capacity building.
Dr. Pradip Kumar Bairi, Former Professor and HOD, Department of Repertory, MBH Medical College and Hospital; Dr. Sajeev, BHMS, MD (Practice of Medicine), CMO, Department of Homoeopathy, Government of Kerala and District Convenor, Janani Infertility Project; and Dr. Santi Adhikari, RO I/c, Central Research Unit, CCRH, SVP also addressed the trainees. The technical sessions covered various metabolic disorders such as Diabetes Mellitus, Dyslipidemia, Insulin Resistance, Gout, NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease), and Obesity, and the speakers presented the Homoeopathic approach to their management. Earlier, Dr. Kalyan P. Kadbane, DD (Ayush) welcomed the gathering.
