
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 20: The Andaman & Nicobar Police is proud to announce a major and momentous decision to introduce Special Grade designations for Constables and Head Constables serving in various wings of the force. This decision applies to personnel of the A&N Police (Executive), Fire Service, Police Radio, PMT, PMF, and IRBn.
All Constables who have completed 15 years of service as on 1st January of the relevant year and have already received the 1st MACP will be allowed to wear the designation of Head Constable (Special Grade), recognizing their experience and long years of dedicated service. Further, Head Constables who have completed 25 years of total service, including at least 5 years as a Head Constable, and who have been granted both the 1st and 2nd MACP will be eligible for upgradation to Assistant Sub-Inspector (Special Grade), providing deserving personnel with enhanced professional recognition and career progression.
This progressive decision is expected to impact approximately 85% of police force and will benefit 57% of police force immediately those who have completed required years of service, positively impacting their career growth, motivation, and professional status.
