Rangachang, Oct. 30: The Department of AH&VS conducted a two-day training program on scientific rearing and management of cattle on Oct. 23 & 24 at Veterinary Dispensary, Rangachang, with the second day held at a farmer’s field.
Participants were trained in scientific management of calves and heifers, with detailed sessions on breeding management and castration of scrub bulls to improve herd quality. Experts provided comprehensive guidance on animal health, nutrition, and fodder management, emphasizing the importance of balanced diets, including mineral mixtures, for optimal cattle growth. Shri Abdul Inayat, Agriculture Demonstrator, conducted a practical demonstration on silage making, showcasing effective fodder conservation techniques. Farmers actively participated, engaging themselves with the practical and theoretical sessions to enhance their skills.
