Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 29: The Department of AH&VS distributed 152 Vanaraja chicks, 114 ducklings, and 58 quails from the Composite Livestock Farm (CLF), Basantipur, to 16 beneficiaries in Bakultala Panchayat on Oct. 24. The distribution focused on providing hardy and productive poultry breeds suitable for the island environment. Beneficiaries were advised to follow proper vaccination schedules and to report any mortality in the coming days and weeks to ensure animal health and program effectiveness.
Veterinary staff provided guidance on biosecurity, feeding, and disease prevention to support successful rearing.
