‘Kavya Sandhya-an evening of poetry’ on Feb 20 & performance by Puducherry artists on Feb 21

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 18: The Art & Culture Department, A&N Administration, in association with the National Book Trust (NBT), New Delhi, is organizing a nine-day Andaman Nicobar Book Fair, the second in the series, at the ITF Ground at Sri Vijaya Puram, from February 14 to 22, 2026. Featuring 40+ stalls, 35+ publishers, the fair offers a rich and diverse literary experience for readers of all ages.
As part of the Book Fair, the National Book Trust is organizing various activities for the students of the Islands during morning hours, while in the evening, literary sessions and cultural programmes are being organized.
As part of the literary session in the ongoing Andaman Nicobar Book Fair- 2026, the Art & Culture Department of A&N Administration will be hosting a special literary evening dedicated to poetry- ‘Kavya Sandhya’ at 6:30 pm on Feb 20, 2026. In this regard, participation is invited from local poets to share their creative works, in any language, on the stage.
An open to all story telling competition will be held at 6.30 pm on February 21, 2026, in 2 groups – 8 yr to 13 yr and 14 to 18 yrs. Participation is invited from school and college students in this completion.
Similarly, a programme of open to all folk dance is also scheduled to be held at the ITF Ground on Feb 22, 2026.
