Sri Vijaya Puram, April 9: Army Public School Brichgunj, functioning under the aegis of Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC), conducted a meaningful one-day workshop on “Effective Communication and Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.”
The workshop aligned with the vision of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, emphasising a shift from rote learning to student-centric, experiential and inquiry-based approaches.
The session was facilitated by veteran educator Dr Poonam Tandon, who brings over 25 years of experience along with a PhD in Chemistry and a Master’s in Counselling and Family Therapy. The two-hour interactive session equipped teachers with evidence-based techniques to enhance student engagement, curiosity and retention.
Reflecting on the session, a senior wing teacher shared that the workshop encouraged educators to rethink learning from the student’s perspective, offering practical strategies to make classrooms more vibrant and engaging.
Key highlights of the workshop included experiential learning linking theory with real-world applications, collaborative methods such as peer teaching and group discussions, reflective practices like journaling and exit tickets and interactive formats that empower students to take ownership of their learning journey. Relatable examples and engaging discussions ensured the session remained both practical and inspiring.
Army Public School Brichgunj continues to lead educational innovation in the region, reinforcing its commitment under ANC towards nurturing future-ready learners.
