Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 2: The ASMITA Kayaking & Canoeing Event was successfully conducted at Sippighat on 31st January, 2026, drawing enthusiastic participation from women athletes and young sportspersons from various parts of the islands. The event aimed to encourage women’s participation in water sports and provide a competitive platform to showcase their talent and skills in Kayaking and Canoeing disciplines.
During the event, Asian Games paddlers. Karma Toppo and Srimati Bishnoi, along with international paddler Venkat Raman interacted with the ASMITA participants. The championship concluded on a successful and positive note, highlighting the growing interest in Kayaking and Canoeing among women athletes and reaffirming the commitment of the association towards the promotion of water sports and women’s empowerment in the region.
