Awareness Session on SIR Organised by Electoral Literacy Club of TGCE

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 26: The awareness session on ‘Special Intensive Revision (SIR)’ was organized by the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) of TGCE yesterday for the faculty members of TGCE while the second round of the awareness programme was held for the trainees today. The programme aimed to enhance understanding among student-teachers about the importance of the electoral process and the ongoing Special Intensive Revision activities conducted by the Election Commission of India.

Dr. N. Balakrishnan, Nodal Officer (SVEEP) enlightened the gathering with his valuable inputs regarding the importance of right to vote and SIR. The resource person Shri. Raja Ram and Shri. Senthil, State Level Master Trainers enlightened the participants about the eligibility criteria for voters, detailed explanation of the enumeration process and also demonstrated the procedure for filling up the enumeration form.

The session emphasized the value of active voter participation, the right to vote, and the responsibility of citizens in strengthening democratic processes. Faculty members, student-teachers, and other staff members participated enthusiastically in the session. The Principal, TGCE Dr. Manjulata and Ms. Ishrat Yousuf, Nodal Officer (ELC) encouraged students to stay informed and actively engage in democratic practices.
